Admissions

 ~~~~~
We hear all the time that Mountain Area Christian Academy feels like a family, and that is not by accident! From the admission process all the way to graduation, our whole staff personally invests their time, energy, and talents into this community, and that effort and spirit is contagious. We can’t wait to share our passion for Christian education with you.
Admissions Process
First, in order to enroll your child, we must receive a completed application packet. After that we will contact you to schedule a parent interview with the Administrator. There, be prepared to share about your personal faith in Jesus and your current involvement in church life. After that, the Administrator will briefly explain the purpose of Christian education, provide an overview of our program, and give you time to ask questions.
After completing all of the above, we’ll let you know about your child’s enrollment status. If your child meets the admission requirements, but there are no spaces available in the class, you will be given an opportunity to keep your application in the waiting pool. Upon acceptance, applicable tuition fees will be due before your child will officially begin at MACA.
    Why is it important that incoming students and parents be committed Christians?
     Mountain Area Christian Academy doesn’t just educate children with Christian truth. The Academy is entirely composed of professing Christians, from administrators to teachers to students. We expect our students and their families to sign our non-denominational statement of faith to ensure this. And we expect students to live out their growing Christian commitment in and out of the classroom. Not perfectly, of course. We love the process of partnering with families in discipleship and spiritual formation, and we understand very well that students are in differing stages of development spiritually and otherwise. But really and truly, we want MACA to be a place where Christian values and people function in Christ-like partnership toward the preparation of coming generations for fruitful service in God’s kingdom. We believe this Christ-honoring environment at MACA promotes maximum learning and growth—and community. And it minimizes the kinds of distractions and obstacles that hamper the healthy development of children.
    That said, there is no place in our school for discriminatory policies or divisive behavior on the basis of exterior or superficial differences. Mountain Area Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
