At MACA, our high school students prove and put into practice all they’ve learned so far, so they can become sound in their whole persons for the service of God in the world. Our high school students explore the highest levels of independent learning, advanced education (including dual enrollment in college), spiritual service and leadership, vocational training, athletics, and much more!

Comprehensive

MACA high school students have access to an extraordinary range of electives, extracurricular activities, vocational training, missions work, service training, and/or military preparation to give them breadth in determining their academic or life trajectories after graduation.

Advanced

With options for dual enrollment and advanced placement classes, we expect our high school students to build on their good MACA foundations to reach even higher personal education goals. But wherever they happen to be, we’re dedicated to their personal advancement and growth, in mind, body, and spirit.

Delightful

Our middle and high school students get plenty of time to study and hang out outside, to dedicate class time (ask about J-term!) to pursue recreational or vocational electives, and spend time out of class on trips (of both the “mission” and “field” variety). Further, we want their whole time at MACA to be a delight. We learn best when we’re enjoying it!

Frequently Asked Questions

What curriculum does MACA use for High School?

MACA High School has no set curriculum. MACA grades 6–12 will use many textbooks from Bob Jones University Press and we utilize Positive Action for Christ Bible curriculum from grades 4–12, but we encourage teachers to use whatever materials, textbooks, or supplementary materials they think will serve their particular students and teaching goals/styles, all under the guiding principles of Christ-centered, biblical education.

Does MACA have scholarships or financial aid for High School students?

MACA is part of the Georgia GOAL program, which directs allotted Georgia state taxes to private education institutions while providing participating taxpayers with 100% tax credits for those dollars. It’s an amazing opportunity we direct into scholarships for students. We also have other opportunities for scholarships and partnerships you can read about here.

What about students who might be a bit behind? Can you help them?

Does MACA have a good track record for high school graduates going to college?

The vast majority of MACA graduates go on to attend and graduate from college. Ask us to find out more!

What’s J-Term?

For a few weeks in January (hence, the name J-term) when high school students return from Christmas break, they settle into school life again by setting aside their regular academic work and pursuing vocational or elective credits. This could include woodworking, drama, visual art, music, home economics, and even mountain and trail biking, depending on interest and availability.

How do I get into (and stay in) CJROTC?

For high school students, Christian Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps is a great way to learn the history and disciplines of military life and get a head start on a life of service, whether or not you plan to enlist.

Each student must be accepted by the school CJROTC instructor with approval from the school administrator. Each student must then comply with personal grooming and uniform regulations and the high standards of the CJROTC Program in maintaining acceptable academic, physical, and behavioral standards of conduct.
