Teaching Positions

Teacher contracts run from July through June of each year. Qualifications vary depending on the grade level and instruction needed. Below is a list of teaching positions at MACA. All applications will remain on file for 12 months.”

Your Role:

  • Partnership with Parents: Collaborate with parents, recognizing their primary role in their child’s education.
  • Engaging Lessons: Teach assigned classes following curriculum guides, integrating biblical principles and Christian philosophy throughout.
  • Creative Planning: Plan lessons and assignments thoroughly, making learning fun and engaging.
  • Homework Happiness: Assign homework for practice, review, enrichment, or projects to keep students excited about learning.
  • Discipline and Fun: Maintain discipline in the classroom, on campus, and during off-campus activities, ensuring a positive and fun learning environment.
  • Stay Organized: Keep accurate attendance and grade records
  • Open Communication: Keep the lines of communication open with students, parents, and administration about progress or areas needing improvement.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in Hand: You have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Classroom Experience: You bring teaching experience to the table.
  • Christian Education: Experience in a Christian school or instructional background is a big plus!

Substitute Teacher

The role of the substitute teacher is to fill in for the regular classroom teachers with the goal of

performing classroom duties as close to the regular teacher as possible.
Major responsibilities include the following:

  • Report to the school office at the assigned time
  • Sign in on the substitute teacher registry
  • Be dressed according to the teacher dress code for teachers
  • Pick up sub folder with work and classroom assignment
  • Run the class as outlined in the Teacher Handbook in relation to:
  • Attendance
  • Discipline
  • Dress code guidelines
  • General classroom procedures
  • Be aware of all safety and emergency procedures
  • Be aware of any special scheduling for the day
  • Keep the immediate supervisor informed of any needs or problems
Aftercare

Periodically, we are in need of our assistance with our aftercare program.  If you are interested, we keep all applications on file for 12 months.  We will reach out to you as soon as an opportunity may arise.

  • Supervise students attending the afterschool program from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm
  • Take daily attendance of participants
  • Disperse snacks provided
  • Supervise homework
  • Sign out participants when they are picked up
  • Tidy the aftercare area

**This is a part time position, and will be 2-3 days per week.***

Qualifications:
Applicants must be 21 years of age and completed high school or high school equivalent.

Applicants must pass a background check and acquire CPR and First Aid certification.

Administrator

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Set the spiritual, academic, and professional tone of the school.
  • Visionary: Honor the school’s Biblical foundation and core values while creating a compelling vision for the future of Christian education
  • Supervision: Oversee principals, preschool director, finance director, and work with assistant administrator to oversee office, and building staff.
  • Student Life: Foster student activities and spiritual development.
  • Faculty Support: Promote spiritual and professional growth, manage HR processes, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Ensure up-to-date safety and security measures.
  • Communications: Develop effective communication strategies and maintain community presence.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board on policies, financial stability, and future planning.

    Qualifications:

  • Ministerial: Agree with MACA’s faith and mission, demonstrate spiritual maturity, and maintain an active walk with Jesus Christ.
  • Professional: Master’s degree preferred will consider Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in Christian education preferred, and leadership experience. Must pass a criminal background check.
